The name was of course, given by the English who settled there in what was to be the first inland town in the area, after peaceful dialog and an agreement with the local indigenous people. Any chance this could be used for "senior moments" when half way through a sentence, the train of thought leaves the station?

It might, sounding rather posh, afford a bit of face saving grace-- assuming one can manage to remember the whole word.
