Nothing is beyond the ken of Doctor Goodword and his many loyal minions. This word is excellent for use in Scrabble AND it is of strictly German origin, as far as I " Ken" tell. In fact should you know this word you will have advanced one more word in German, as KENNEN, is the infinitive for "to know", in the sense of be acquainted with.

Interestingly, ken is related to kith, not Barbie. See here.
