When I met them they weren't actually spying at the time, they were studying Russian at Middlebury College in Vermont. Each summer there would be a group of 4 or 5 Norwegians. They were always very nice, but weren't allowed to talk about what they did back home. Spy.Norwegian spies??? Spying on whom and for whom?

Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.

I am not good in adverbs but i use "like" and "as" in different cases.
For example:
She likes to be more independent than her sister.
differs from ----
She is independent as well as her sister.
I guess those two sentences above make different meanings.
Thanks for letting me share.
